Kamigumi Set to Construct Phase II of its Warehouse in Indonesia

Kamigumi Co., Ltd. finalized plans to construct a 22,046 m² two story high warehouse as phase II of its warehouse at PT. KAMIGUMI LOGISTICIS INDONESIA, located at Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC) in West Java, Indonesia.

GIIC is situated approximately 40 kilometers east of downtown Jakarta. It offers extremely easy access to the Port of Tanjung Priok, Indonesia's largest seaport, and the new Port of Patimban which is scheduled to open in 2019. Given rising demand for warehouse space following the entry of new customers and increased production, GIIC is expected to serve as the center of the Eastern Jakarta Industrial Area.

Kamigumi began operating the Phase I Warehouse (10,080 m²) in December 2015 in order to address customers needs mainly from the automotive industry and consumer goods industry in Western Java, Indonesia, which continues to see a strong inflow of foreign investment, particularly from Japanese companies. This warehouse is already at full capacity, however, given rising demand, and therefore the Phase II Warehouse (22,046 m²) will be constructed and include a controlled-temperature area and bonded logistics area. This will enable Kamigumi to cope with rising demand for various storage needs, storage of cargo by non-residents and long-term bonded storage.

Through collaboration with PT. KAMIGUMI INDONESIA, which was established in December 2013 and offers forwarding services, we will be able to provide more efficient intermodal transport services to our customers. We will provide high quality "Kamigumi-Designed Logistics" that can accommodate a multitude of customer needs through collaboration with the Kamigumi Group's network in Japan and overseas.
