Kamigumi to Construct New Warehouse at Minami-Honmoku Pier

Kamigumi has announced the construction of a new warehouse with controlled-temperature functions at the Minami-Honmoku Pier in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Kamigumi is experiencing a large increase in throughput of grains (soybeans, azuki beans, mung beans, and various other beans), which have been a mainstay commodity in this region. Given expectations for rising demand in the future, Kamigumi has decided to construct a new warehouse for providing stable services.

All parts of the new warehouse will feature controlled-temperature functions that will enable rigorous quality control. It will also have facilities to automatically weighing and bagging bulk soybeans, which will speed up work and save labor. In addition, the construction site for the new warehouse is located close to Kamigumi's existing Minami-Honmoku Logistic Center. Kamigumi will aim to further improve operational costs and logistics quality through the integrated operations of this logistics center and the new warehouse.
