Kamigumi Completes Nanko R Fixed-Temperature Warehouse

On March 25, Kamigumi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Kobe; President & Representative Director: Yoshihiro Fukai; "Kamigumi" hereinafter) completed a construction project to rebuild the Nanko R Fixed-Temperature Warehouse in the Nanko area (Osaka City).
As noted in the previous news release, "Kamigumi to rebuild warehouse in Nanko area" (Dec. 15, 2021), Kamigumi operates fixed-temperature warehouses in three areas in Osaka Prefecture (Nanko, Izumiotsu, and Rinku). The volumes of food products, grains, and similar cargo handled in the fixed-temperature warehouses have grown dramatically in recent years, and demand is expected to continue growing in the future. Therefore, Kamigumi rebuilt the Nanko R Warehouse to reliably cope with such demand and to ensure steady service provision for its customers.
By rebuilding the Kamigumi Nanko R Fixed-Temperature Warehouse from a single-story ambient temperature warehouse to a five-story fixed-temperature warehouse, Kamigumi has dramatically increased the total volume and types of cargo that can be stored. Kamigumi will use this capacity to store cargo that could not previously be stored in the three areas. With its central location in the Port of Osaka, the warehouse offers a high level of convenience due to its proximity to major container terminals and interchanges on the Wangan Route of the Hanshin Expressway. Kamigumi will leverage these strengths to provide high-quality services that meet customer needs and thereby secure orders for new projects.
Environmental measures implemented at the rebuilt warehouse include rooftop solar panels to supply a portion of the electric power used by the facility.
To achieve the goals of its Medium-Term Management Plan, Kamigumi will actively expand growth investment groupwide for improving competitiveness and medium- to long-term business growth, as well as pursue the strategy of strengthening core businesses--one of the key strategies.
